Peanut butter + raw chocolate + medjool dates (caramel) + Maca Bliss. You may need nothing else for the rest of the day! This is a raw dessert recipe that could trigger a slight addiction, but because it’s so balanced with our adrenal-restoring** Maca Bliss, you’ll be just fine. You may be blissed out, but there will be no negative consequences… let’s get right to it, shall we?
PEANUT BUTTER BARS W/ RAW CHOCOLATE CHIPS & MACA BLISS
1 cup gluten-free organic oats
1/2+ cup pitted organic medjool dates, more as needed
1 tablespoon pure organic maple syrup
1/2 cup heirloom organic raw chocolate chips
2 tablespoons Longevity Power’s Maca Bliss
2 tablespoons organic raisins
1 tablespoon organic peanut butter (roasted or wild jungle peanut butter)
1 teaspoon ground vanilla bean
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Process the oats into a flour in your food processor (approx 20 seconds). Add the dates as the processor is running thru the top lid feed & pulse until it begins to stick together. Add all other ingredients except some of the chocolate chips and process again. Do not over process. Add the rest of the chocolate chips at the very end for a crunchy texture!
Scoop the decadent mixture with your hands and pack lightly into your molds of choice OR just mold by hand. Then, chill in the freezer for 1 hour or longer. You may also mold the mix in a cake pan or pie dish & cut into some fun shapes for some visual variety. Gather with friends to enjoy, share your gratitude & dig in! Store your bars / cookies in the fridge or freezer.
The combination of delicious ingredients in the recipe work really well together and will satisfy those that crave dense bites of nutrition and that have a sweet tooth that begs for dessert! Feel free to use a different nut butter if desired and your preferred liquid sweetener.
